C&C Renegade noCD patch problem
 

I replaced the .exe with the one from the nocd patch, but whenever I attemp to start the game, I get this error:
The procedure entry point ?Detect_Bandwidth@@YAKKKHAAHAAKKPAUtBandtestSettin gsStruct@@@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library BandTest.dll.

I've tried redownloading the patch and reinstalling C&C, but with no luck on getting the no CD to work, any ideas?

I'm using the full retail version, with the C&C patch already installed as well. Any other ideas?

The way I got my game running with No CD was to copy all the *.BIK files from CD2 into a new folder called MOVIES in the DATA folder, then replace the GAME.EXE with the fixed one!

Worked for me, even after applying the patch!

i cant even get my version to install the setup.exe has a lock aswell 4 cd's later using allsorts to copy it and still no luck my writer is the liteon 24x10x40 and i cant get a working copy the setup.exe messes it up every time it just says insert game cd to install

war3zuk, try copying all the files from CD1 to a temp folder on your hard drive and install from there, it may work!

the setup.exe has a lock on it or the install.exe not sure what one as i dont no how to check lol anyway that way wont work and i have the origional cd so i can play the game its a workin backup i want that i can use in place of the origional

You have a Lite-On 24X so you should have no probs making a perfect 1:1 copy with Clone CD. Read to image file from Lite-on with Fast Error Skip checked. Burn to CD-R - don't tick AWS.

Enable Hide CD-R Media when playing from a burner.

BTW - The setup exe is protected with SD2.51 I believe, so there is no way to unwrap it yourself, so we'll just have to wait until someone has it cracked.

thankz matey ill try it ive used 5 cds allready lol someone please let me no when someone has cracked the setup.exe

i used xxl to set up clone i get the same error please insert the game disk lol

Did you make sure you had Hide CD-R Media (in the Clone CD Tray) enabled.
If you do this after copying the game with your Lite-On (with Fast Error Skip and w/out AWS) you should be able to play it.

Use CD-RW's instead of CD-R for testing, you won't make any permanent coasters then :)

Try clearing the contents of the Windows\Temp folder, or wherever your Windows Temp folder is located and try installing again.

Did you try Reading/Writing at a lower speed?

The Lite-on 24X is able to copy SD2.51 at high speeds - but it's worth a go ne way i suppose.

tried hidin media like told but no luck what i dont understand is y someone hasnt cracked the full cd copy or cracked the setup.exe or install.exe of the cd i even tried disassebling the exe's but couldnt find the string please insert game cd bla bla bla its p*ssing me off big time
