which ar do i need?
hi out there can anyone help ive got a uk ps2 3000 series with a p at end of serial code and had my ps2 chipped now i know i need a ar2 to boot up all ntsc backups but which version of the bugger do i need as tried a version 2.0/1 with region x built in but it wouldnt boot i can boot up pal backups ok and ps2 using a dvd region x but need a action replay2 for ps1 ntsc us/jap backups any help would be appreciated as have tried patching ntsc us to pal but get a 6" black border at bottom of screen and its starting to pee me off unless im doing something wrong i dont know as just worked it out,am very desperate and need help thanks craigy

First, if the 30003 is not followed by the letter "R", you don't have a v5 and AR2/v2 is of little use to you! You would need 1.9.
DVD Region X wil boot everything (backups) except DVD-Rs including NTSC. Don't know about PS1 - depends on your modchip which you didn't describe. Any more you can tell me? |

hi charlie its me again the thicko without a ar2! the chip inside is with 8 wires and no screw holes holding expansion bay at back,6 screw holes holding the base and 4 underneath if thats any help ps1 pal backups use normal boot no joy at all with usa/jap ps1 backups but ps2 backups boot up ok using dvd region x new version i think,its the one without the dongle have tried all variations and still no joy.....any ideas? craigy

use ps1 action replay to boot ntsc games
its ok if you used a copy or original action replay and get it booted (as long as you have your ps2 chipped it will boot ) and then start game without codes thats all it works all right with me |
