Go to the psxcopyhomeworld site,
look under tutorials and then booting methods.
You can download a copy of arv1.7 and boot it behind a version of dvd region x.
See other posts by Charlie and others from a few days ago to learn more.
Hope this helps.

You can download the AR2/1.7 (needs WINRAR to expand) from http://www.pacificnet.net/~huyhoang/gs_ar/#

I suggest you take it gingerly at first. Boot wioth DVDRX and at the region screen swap in the Ar2/1.7 disk and press START on the controller. If AR2/1.7 loads ok (it doesn't always), selct Game/without codes and press X to open the tray. Put a simple PS2 backup in that works with your normal DVDRX method and see if that plays.

If it does, you can try with DVD-Rs, holding down RESET as you boot DVD-RX right up to the appropriate double swap point in "normal" Neo2.2 DVD-R boot. That will be the only way to get it to work if it will work at all; pressing reset at any other point resets the PS2.

The current AR2 version (2.x) will not play DVD-Rs on a v4 or prior PS2.

My private view is that the Neo2.2 has had its day because of DVD games and the changes to AR2 brought about by V5 PS2s. The appropriate chip for your system is now the Messiah/Clone or the Origachip.

Hope all this helps and let us know what happens.

S C M strikes again folks!!!

I tell you what Charlie that name tag is going to stick for a while yet mate.
To compensate you though iv'e pointed my backup supplier in your direction so hopefully it'll lead to some buisness for you and your partners.
It'll soon be daylight and you can return to normal,
or can you???

How's the Messiah Argo?

All I need is for someone to do the SCM Avatar (animated) of course. Who'll do that for me?

Charlie,
the Messiah chip is amazing.
True dvd game backups, dvd to cdr rips, straight cdr backups
all boot up first time everytime no swaps no hassle.
You soon forget that it's in there at all.

Thanks again guys.
