Why does my screen roll? PAL on a NTSC

I Have a new PSOne with a Mod chip and it seems to play NTSC burnt discs with no trouble, but when i burn a PAL and patch for the area code, it first reads the right area code now, but the screen rolls like the vertical hold is messed up.

Is there another patch that i need to use to get it to look right on a NTSC machine? Seems to be some info. at Gamecopy World but i'm not sure what i'm looking for.

Thx ,

It rolls because your patch isn't working you have PAL showing on NTSC which causes it to roll. From what I've seen most Pal/NTSC patches have you choose which format your going to use when the disk starts.

Thats kinda what i thought Kendomon, but , i did apply a patch like you say but it still does the same thing. The game is Sesame Street Sports. Do you know of a way to fix this?

Thx Skypig,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

No Need for An Area Code PAtch

what you need is a PAtch that converts PAL to NTSC and for a PAL version like yours...means you might find many patches that does PAL to NTSC but for different versions ..yours is PAL

step 1; check this site for a patch.....
http://www.megagames.com/psx/psx_patches.shtml

step2; look for NTSC PAL Selector + Fix Protection if any

( remember the patch has to be made from working on a PAL version like yours not made from working on an NTSC version... )

pacheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit
