MOHAA Errors

I have a 12x10x32 Lite-on cd-r and I'm using CloneCD.

When I read at 1x MOHAA disk2 I get a bucket loads of errors in the log... I have notice that sometimes when backing up disks.

It makes the image after about 2 hours.... first disk went quick and had no problems. Anyway, I burned a MOHAA disk 2 and encountered errors when doing an install. The first disk installed fine, I put in the second disk and it looked like it was ok -- but about 10 secs later -- it asked for next disk... confused, I 'browsed' to the drive when my back up of disk 2 was and the same thing happened.

Is there some kind of super protection on disk 2?

Any advice?

no, mohaa is totally unprotected. the designers WANT you to easily make a backup copy.

haaahaahaa

yeah, that's funny.... next!

The point was: Disk 1 seemed to breeze through the back up process. Disk 2 seemed to be the trouble maker. I would have thought that it would have been the other way around.

Now, back to the subject... has anyone made a good backup of MOHAA so that it installs correctly and works with normal game play?

I have been using CloneCD, the best, or that is what I thought.

no protection ? you're wrong man. I'ts protected by SafeDisc 2.51.021.

Check the Protections-Forum. They discussed the problems on how to burn this.

Spaz_Dude ... yes, backup done and tested, installs and plays with no mods or patches.

What software you using.

CD1 and 2 BOTH have the SafeDisk protection on (unusual I agree).

Perhaps 2nd CD damaged ?

Yesss i made it ;o)

i succeeded in burning it with nero 5.5.6.4
I did not make image file and burned MOHAA with a bit to bit CDCopy.

In Nero I choose in the copy options, "Ignore Bad TOC", and in Data Mode 2 , the option "Write uncorrected errors"

Be carefull, if you choose the Virtual Recorder to make image files, the Disk1 will pass but, for Disk2 you will have a "Data Read Error" when trying to burn the image to a CD (at about 23%).
So you need to make a CD to CD copy to avoid this.

For security, put the reading speed at 8x and write speed at 4x, this is because there are some audio stuff to copy.

I made perfect backups of my CDs (it asks for the CD Key when installing and don't need the no-CD crack) but it tooks about 45 min to make each copy.

bye !

The bucket load of errors are normal (usually from around sectors 800-10000) This is the Safedisk protection.
Make sure you tick Fast Error Skip in Clone CD to speed up the process (also have the FES settings at Retries=0, Correction=Software.
