creating backups of hasbro games
 

This is my first time trying to create backups of some of my games. I thought that I would start easy with Hasbro titles like: Frogger, Centipede, Battleship... My first attempt was with Frogger. I had the game installed on my hard drive. I used Direct CD with what I guess is a generic CD-RW drive. (HL-DT-ST GCE-8160B (16x10x40)) At anyrate, after the copy was made, I tried to run from the new disk. It appears to have removed the program from my hard drive and I cannot get either the original or the backup to be recognized to reinstall the game. I have gone through the "newbie hints" but I am still confused as to the order in which I need to do everything. Do I copy to the temp file, then change the executable, then write to a new disk. Or just add the patches after I get the game installed. Please help me before I confuse myself more. Thank you.:confused:
