Dup-dvd

Has anyone tried DUP-DVD does it work good??? Can you copy a DVD on a regular cdr or cdrw 70 min??? Thanks

chunkmonk2000 05-03-2002 02:25

Dup - Dvd is a pretty good program!!! It does what it says!!! Copies a dvd to Vcd or Svcd you need a couple of blank cdr discs. You cant copy a dvd to a blank cdr!! you need a dvdr drive and some dvdr media. Dup - Dvd converts the dvd to vcd format and copies it to a normal blank cd. You dont get dvd quality .Hope this helps m8.:)

The question here is, how to burn the second cd!
because I only can do the first one.

Another question, what software is need it to make dvd to dvd-r ?
Also, what program do you need for the copy protected DVD's?

Thanks in advance!

u can only copy the first cd because u only have the free trial program u have to register it and that cost 30 quid...
you can copy dvd-dvd-r with nero but the film has to be less than 4.7gb and there's not mant of those......
if you mean dvd protection use smart ripper .. if u mean cd protection use clone cd....
hope this was of some help.......

dup-dvd

Do not be duped by dup-dvd. The program does what they advertise, but it's never your program. Even registered users, like me, never get a key file number that works all the time. If you remove the program for any reason, it requires a new key file number to reinstall it. The dup-dvd support center will refer you to a site to get the number but it says sorry, you don't qualify and refers you back to the support page. They were so concerned about pirates, they have become pirates themselves.

 Bodygurad, DVD-->DVD-R, you can use DVDCutter Stream and Mp3CDWav Conveter, visit www.jummpa.com

Copying protected cd/dvd, you can use CloneCD, you can download the latest version of it in the Free Download Area of www.jummpa.com
The guy says you can get "free" CloneCD 3.3.4.1 and save you $32.00!

I have Dup-DVD and it is register. I've tried to burn Road Trip a couple time but failed. After reading the DVD for about 5 hours it starts burning it into the CD at 6X but had an error. It asked if I want to try to burn it again so i clicked yes. It burned fine into the CD and the movie plays fine for 30 min(that's all the CD could hold). I tried to continue to burn the second CD but it would start all over again and would not let me continue(I did not exit the program at all). The setting I have on is SVCD High Quality, NTSC, 725MB Size. Please help out if you can. Thank you.

I have never tried burning in SVCD. I had good success with VCD but only after two weeks of fighting with the people at dup-dvd. The problem your having sounds like the program still thinks it's unregistered and if you try to install it again, then you'll have to try to get a new serial number from dup-dvd. That will be a fight in itself. I wish I could be of more help.

Dup-DVD is very flakey - I've heard so many different experiences from people. I personally got it going ok but wasn't very happy with the results.

I now use DVD2SVCD which is a front-end that'll control all the other programs for you like BBMPEG, DVD2AVI and TMPGEnc etc. It installs all the other programs for you in the bundle except your encoding software like TMPGEnc (or CCE if you prefer to use this). The SVCD end results are the best I've ever seen.

Check out www.vcdhelp.com for guides and links to the software.

Word of warning though, if you use TMPGEnc for encoding (thoroughly recommended) you only get about 30 days to encode MPEG2, after that you'll have to re-install or crack it.
