Burning Safedisk2 with Clonecd
Hi guys...
im new to the whole bruning scene so i need a little help. i have clone cd and my burner is supported for the best type of writting and reading. the burner is a sony CD-RW CRX175E. what settings and speeds should i use in clone cd and do i need any outside programs or files other that clone cd to burn a 1:1 copy of safedisk 2? m trying to burn medal of honour and pool of radiance 2 thanks a lot for your help |
arnt we all *sigh** lol
aparrently the settings on clone CD are just have fast error skip checked(nothing else) and in the fast error skip settings, set that to 3 and error corection to none. hope this helps |
a tutorial i found says to use 1X read, select subchannel data from audio and data tracks, fast error skip>>read retry to 5 and correction to none.??? So far it didn't work for mine. Don't know whether the writing speed matters ( haven't tried it at 1X write)
 |
safedisc 2 does not need read subchannel data ticked. for mohaa, from what i've gathered, do the normal fast error skip on and read it in. then, use latest betablocker on .ccd file, and burn. hopefully this does it. i think betablocker eliminates the need for aws. ;) good luck

From what I have found, by doing a copy of mohaa from my brothers original so I could sit & try a few different things. The new version of BetaBlocker only works with a few cd-roms as well. For the earlier versions of SDV2 I used BB to change the image as my Mitsumi can't do EFM, the copy worked in all drives I have, but the new version doesn't work in any drives... :( DOH!!
Its either they really have given SDV2 a good kick up the ass, or BB is not working correctly... Yep, BB eliminates aws if your drive only supports Hardware correction in the Fast Error Settings... I found out today actually ... 1. It really doesn't matter if you do or don't read the Subchannels in SDV2, found either way the copy will work... 2. Use CloneCD try icon, Hide CDR Media & the copy will work in my Mitsumi perfectly, this is why I think they have given SDV2 a good kick up the ass .... Hope this helps .... :) |
To copy MOHAA:
Read to image file at 4X - Fast Error Skip, Read Retries 0-3 (ur choice), Error Correction=Software. Drag and drop .img file into the modified Betablocker and patch it (both cd's) Burn back to CD-R at 4X. Use 'Hide CD-R Media' in Clone CD tray if playing from a cd-writer because of the ATIP check - the ATIp check isn't a new feature to 2.51.021, it was in the last SD2 as well. Betablocker won't help ALL writers copy this game. There is no need to tick subs. |
weird, done all that, the only problem im having now, is burning the .img file back onto a disk, nero says theres not enough room on the CD:confused: although its a normal 80min CDR......weird......oh well, thanks for your help, im sure i'll sus it

Hi Faz 2000.
I´m also useing the Lite-On 24x and cannot manage to get a fully working copy of mohaa. I can install from the copied cd´s but no way starting with it. Which program, firmware did you use? Which version is the Mohaa? German, UK, US? Please give me a hint. |
