EA sport games

am i to the believing, that if i use cloneCD to backup a EA game, that i dont need the patches???

NightStalker 23-02-2002 06:25

depends on your modchip, if using a usb mod you will have to patch some titles no matter what software is used.

knotsville 23-02-2002 16:39

yeh, ill think ill need to patch them

where can i find these patches we speak of (im fairly new at this)

cheers

charlie_ps2 23-02-2002 16:46

You will save yourself heaps of trouble if you switch to an 8 wire or higher modchip and use CloneCD. I promise (doing it all properly, of course).

NightStalker 23-02-2002 16:51

I agree with charlie, you would be better to upgrade to a origa chip or a messiah but anyway try http://www.ps2ownz.com/ orhttp://www.gamefreax.de/ for patches

knotsville 23-02-2002 17:01

a new mod isnt really in my price range at the moment

thanks for the ea patches url

if i cant find a patch for my game, does that mean it doesnt need one...or does that mean im screwed?

thanks again

knotsville 23-02-2002 17:12

off those 2 sites, all i could find was...

PAL 2 NTSC patch...which was the same as what i found on megagames....

is this right?

NightStalker 23-02-2002 18:05

what game are you trying to back up ???? you want the ea swap fix patch. look under EA patches on the left side of the home page at http://www.ps2ownz.com/

fifa street PAL

I've tried to play a backup of this game. It doesn't play. I was wondering if I need a patch to play it using S/M 3.3. FIFA 2005 works fine on the swap method without a patch. I've looked on GAMEFREAX there's no patch on there.
