Safedisc, playbackup, clonecd,etc
hey anyone, I used clone cd with playbackup and my cd still didn't work. I tried Safedisc2 but the dumper could not create DATA.BIN (it just gave me a RANDOM ERROR). and that's as far as I got with that method. I'm still trying to figure out how Blind Read/Write works. Any ideas/suggestions? I think I downloaded just about all the possible softwares. Thanks.
 |
did you use the correct version of Unsafedisc to dump the exe?

and I went from there. It was UnSD2 because I have two .tmp files in it. I think the version for my game (battle realms) was 2.30.033 and it says to use 2.30.31 dumper. But the dumper couldn't create *data.bin file. After a few seconds it gave me a "random error". I also tried to dump other games like "strong hold" and the same results. what the heck? I am using CRISPEATER's "How to use unsafedisc" tutorial with all the windows. very easy to follow. Just won't create *data.bin  |
see if you can find unsafedisc v2.30.33. youi will need that i think

i'm using win98. I have tried all the versions in the folder. maybe something else is causing the problem. It just won't be able to create the *data.bin file. There's a notepad in the v2.30.033 said to use v2.30.31 (the lower version)
I even used playbackup to patch the clonecd image and it still didn't work. ??????????? |
thanks. i removed the .vxd and it worked. But the game crashed as i try to load a saved game or start journey (battle realms). But I can play the skirmishes. ?????????? But Stronghold worked so far. think if i install the patch for battle realms, it might make a difference.???? thanks
:D |
Why can't I install Pack 1 or Pack 2 for Battle Realms? It says contents don't match or wrong version or something like that. Was my version already patched or what.? But then it can't be because I can do the yinyang cheat. Maybe I need to do another clean install??? Thanks.
