MoH:AA Backup?

My uncle wants to make a backup of his Medal of Honor Allied Assalt NA version and is having some problems.

Can it be done with any of the following CD burners and if so with which software?

Sony CRX-100 (He says its a 2 or 3 years old IDE Drive)
Mitsumi CR-4804TE
Mitsumi CR-48X8TE

I assume from reading some of the other posts this will be the answer:

a) get Daemon-Tools at http://www.daemon-tools.com and install it, we'll use its fast-dump feature
b) enable safedisc emulation in Daemon
c) insert original, protected GTA2 CD into Your CD-Recorder
d) install the game from Your cd-recorder
e) run the game (cd is still in the recorder and don't use no-cd patches)
f) exit the game (do not remove GTA2 cd from recorder)
g) run CloneCD
h) set reading options: read speed - max, fast error skip (0 retries, software correction), do not enable other options
i) dump it (it'll do it fast, skipping reading of bad sectors)
j) set writing options - write speed - max, close last session, laser calibration
k) write ;)

It should work then. (Remember to disable after all Daemon's Safedisc emulation to check if it works ;))

Which version of CloneCD do I need? I have an old version so which will work? Thx for any help in advance.

go to www.elby.de

once there, find clonecd. it has a list of compatible writers. there hsould be a box that says correct emf bit (something). if, inside this box, you see 2 dots, you can copy any safedisc v2 protect. if you see 1 dot, you can copy up to v2.51. hope that is helpful to everyone

how does ollie know ? :)
