Version 5, No Solder, GS2 v1.9

I have installed the no solder chip on the ps2 but when I load the GS v1.9 disc all I get is a red screen that states please insert a playstation formatted disk. Anyone else had this problem or know how to correct it? Like always thanks for your help!

Ver5 PS2 wont read AR1.9, i can only read ver2 +, AR2 ver 2.2 seem to work the best

has any of you guys tried the no solder chip with 80mins cdr backups? my friend stg303 said his don't work!
