Tropico installation probs!

I read trough the forums but i didn't find any topic that explains my problem :(

When I try to install the copied Tropico, the installation begins with a file called somethign like px.pk2 and it just continues with that until 100 % where it just stops. It doesn't install any more files!! What to do?!

I've heard that if i download some kind of crack it should work... but to me it seems that the setup has some kind of copy protection...

please help me! thanks!

It probably does, do you know what it is protected with?

IF not get clonyXXL. also state burner next time.

I have no idea...... but i'll try that progg :)

btw i burned it with easy cd creator 5 platinum.. but one more thing is that when i try the setup.exe from the harddrive (temp folder) the same thing happens.. The installation stops!

the problem is that you used ez cd cremator! IT is rubbish for backing up games. You must get clonecd or nero or one of those!

Olmen 17-02-2002 05:49

i can't understadn that clonecd progg! and I have nero but it refuses to install! says i already have a version of nero on my comp which i don't have!... besides, EZ has always worked before...

packer 17-02-2002 05:54

Nero and ez cd dremator never worked well together. I bet that is your problem. Also get the latest patch for nero!

Can you not get clonecd in your preferd language?

Olmen 17-02-2002 09:12

that nero fail was long before i took ez.. nero worked fine before i installed xp. I downloaded xp patches for nero, i looked in the registry. Still the same thing..

Clone CD doesn't work because tropico is in a iso format and clonecd can't open isos. I don't think the burningprogram is the problem... hm... there must be something i've forgotten to do :/

packer 17-02-2002 11:02

Maybe the ISO image is bad? Not properly done?

Olmen 17-02-2002 13:40

that's an interesint point!

I'll check that tomorrow :)

that could be just it!
