Ps1 copy works but not ps2

I made a back up of tons and tons of ps2 games but cant seem to get any to work. I also made a copy of Tony Hawk 2 for ps1 and it worked fine. I tried Crash Bandicoot Racers or something like that for ps1 and it didnt work either. I have the external usb key (neo key). And ideas as to what the problem? Could I be copying them wrong? Is the soldering right or wrong? Thanks for any help!!!

Very Frustated Gamer!

Well I finally got Madden 2001 for ps2 to work but my ps2 makes all kinds of loud noises. It sounds like the laser is searching the cd. And it does this all throughout the game, playing, loading and so furth. Thanks for any help.

You need Gameshark2 to boot copied PS2 games

This is a potentially complex area ranging from the effect of the single wire on your laser through to the accuracy of the PS2 copy process.

One thing is for sure, the laser can't read your backups. So first thing is to clean the lens with a cleaning disk. Works 50% of the time.

Then read my earlier post "CD-R Burning Speed". The object here is to burn as near perfectly so that your laser behaves like on a pressed CD.

When you've got these conditions right and it still happens, then you should have someone re-calibrate your laser to read CD-Rs.

If that doesn't work, the laser is shot and needs replacing.
