Can't get an 8x burn on a Panasonic (Matsushita) drive
 

I can't get an 8x burn on my burn w/o imaging to the hard drive first. I have an 48x Liteon CD ROM. It says that the CD rom is not fast enough. The burner is slaved to the CD rom as well. It is on a Athlon 800, 128 MB PC133, TNT2 32MB Video, Gigabyte GA7VX MB. ANy help on this would be great. I have also tried changing the cables as well. Any suggestions would be great, please send them to bellsouth00**********com
