CloneCD and firmware - update or not?
 

It's been said on this board that it's a bad idea to upgrade your firmware if you use clone CD incase the new firmware doesn't support raw read/write.
However on the official CloneCD compatability list next to my, and most other burners it says 'Latest Firmware recomended'
I've got the firmware ready to install, so who's right?
At the moment I can copy things OK with cloneCD, but if I could get better performance out of my burner with new firmware I'd like to.
