neo2.2 just installed, but questions

Hi,

I just installed my neo2.2 modchip in my PS2 v4 (the one with GT3)

I have a few questions:

Sometimes the drive does a little bit of clicking. Is this normal?

I was able to boot the following backup games that I have with NO problem:

SSX
Silent Scope
Madden 2002
NBA Street
Unreal Tournament (tho it did a lot of clicking)
Star Wars Starfighter
Tekken Tag Tournament
Star Wars Bombad Racing
Tiger Woods 2001

I tried to boot NHL 2001 and Quake 3 and they did not work. Do I need to do something special with them. I tried both EA methods on these but NHL showed me the loading page , then the screen went black and disc just tried to keep spinning up.

Does anyone have any thoughts on these issues?

Thanks

what is your boot disc?

I am using Gameshark2 v1.9 to boot games

NHL 2001 just won't load and it has been patched.

I copyed both titles with clonecd 3.0.7.2 without any problems. I use gameshark v1.8 to boot backups. did you recieve any read errors??

I used cdrwin and did the patch on the bin before I burned NHL 2001.

Are you saying that I can just copy all the EA sports games with CloneCD?

I did not receive any read errors

Hi,
Basically yes if you use CLONE CD then you dont need to patch. I just use the relavant boot method after burning the backup and bobs your uncle another working backup. I only use CDR-Win when i want to patch a game which is jap.

Download the trail version and see how you get on. For a tutorial on CLONE check out DEANOS site www.psxcopyworld.co.uk

Cheers

Dal,

Which method do you use to boot your backups and is it the same for EA games?

Dal 07-09-2001 12:37

Hi,

I use the REGION X to boot my backups and its booted all games including EA (use the ea method to boot them) titles 100% everytime.

i dont have NHL but ive got ssx, fifa, nba street and they have all booted using the EA method without any problems.

do you have the correcting booting methods for your gameshark??

Cheers

Dal

What is the REGION X and do I need it. If so where can I get it?

I am using Gameshark2 v1.9 to boot games. I finally got NHL 2001 to boot (must have been a bad copy), but I cannot for the life of me get Quake 3 to boot.

Is there a special way to burn this game or boot it? If so, please tell me

Thanks

Hi,

The REGION X allows you to play multi-region DVDs on your PS2 but it can also be used to boot your backups (much have a mod) its actually the quickest boot cd on the market todate and its boot all my backups with 100% success. You can now get the REGION X in the US aswell as the UK

Anymore info just ask matey

Dal

p.s. i dont have quake3 so i dont know if it has any protection or any reason why it wont boot. Do a search for Quake3 you wamy find someone else has been having problems with this game
