harry potter and safe disk v2 protection

i want to make a copy of my original cd but when the cd goes in the drive i get the message to reinsert the cd. i've been told it has v2 protection so how do i overcome this?
i have dwn loaded safe disk 2 but when i try to run it i am told "no application is associated with the specified file for this operation."
what do you suggest.

Dear Angie,

Yes youre right, this game got the safe disk v2 protection.

However, a few months ago I made a workable copy as follows :

- Copy whole cd to temp directory
- download fix exe form GCW ( Please check youre version )
- extract this fix exe in temp folder ( should receive question to overwrite current one !! )
- burn all to cd ( nero, Win-On etc.... )

When you will test youre new cd you will receive during installation an error message ( Harry.exe is not corresponding bla bla bla...), please click on ignore and you will see that the game will start and play perfeclty ( without using later a crack !!! ).

Have fun.......

Greetings from Amsterdam
