Can you please tell me the bests settings for my new Plextor 24x Writer using CloneCD 3.3.2.1 ?

Heard this tool handles Sd2 with my burner. True or fake? How are the settings?

To make a working backup of most Protected CDs with CloneCD and the plextor 24/10/40A Writer


To read :


Set Read Speed to 2x
Select Read SubChannel Data from Data Tracks
Select Read SubChannel Data from Audio Tracks
Select Fast Error Skip
Set Read Retry to at least 4
Set Error correction to None
UnSelect Don't report bad sectors
UnSelect Intelligent Bad Sector Scanner


To burn to disk use these settings

Set Write Speed to max
Select RAW DAO
Select Don't Repair SubChannel Data
UnSelect Simulate Writing
Select Burn Proof/Just Link
unSelect Perform Laser Power Calibration
unSelect Wait until Buffers are full
Select Always close last Session

i agree with everything excepts the read speed.....i have just read a lot of protected cds at maximun speed (not 40x, just the maximum speed you hard drive has) and all the backups success....at your own risk!
