reading for 12x plextor
 

have trouble keeping the buffer full for my 12x plextor, using a pioneer 40x cd/16X dvd as a reader and will only read at 2x max.

any suggestions please

Is there some kind of limitation on your cd/dvd drive that keeps it reading at 2x? Be sure that your reader and writer are not on the same IDE channel.
