Memorex BLACK 700 MB CD-R's

My friend gave me a few cdrs that are black like playsation cd's, and i was wondering if any of u have heard of them and if theyre specail besides being black on the bottom

i have tried them with little sucess with PSX, PS2 games. Verbatim's seem to work best.
