Safedisk ruins games

I've got a Samsung DVD and a Teac W54E Writer, and recently i've noticed that the new games that I buy that have newer versions of SafeDisk 2 on it, don't even run on my comp (with the original disk). The splash screen comes up, checks for the CD, then crashes back to the desktop. The earlier versions of SafeDisk 2 seem to be OK, but the newer versions aren't. Games that didn't go for me were, OFP, FA Prem Manager 2002, WWTBAM 2nd Edition. With the FA Manager, I d/l the fixed exe off GCW which got rid of the protection and i was able to run it no probs.

The games developers seem to be shooting themselves in the foot, and it's really pissing me off at the same time cos i can't play me original games. Also I can't used Unsafedisk cos of this. NE ideas of what to do?

O yea - if any one has a fixed exe for WWTBAM 2nd Edition, send it to me cos i can't find it anywhere and i can't create it cos of this problem.

Make sure that you don't have Playbackup, Insektors, or earlier version of Daemon tools (before 2.79 I think) installed on your comp.

These are all blacklisted by the newer verions of SD2. Remove 'em and your original s should work no probs.

I though you needed to have them running for the game to bomb out. But I'll try it anyway. But I don't think there's a uninstall feature in PlayBackup - and I dunno if it added anything to the registry or system folder.

Great!!!!!! It's worked. I went and got rid of them all and it worked. Thanks.
Just goes to show what that the game developers don't really appriciate their customers. Just cos I had a few programs they didn't like installed on my computer, they wouldn't let me play their games after I paid for them.
Carry on cracking.
