Does anyone know is there any copy protection in Max Payne, if there is..what is the solution to get working backup of game. I will be very pleased if someone can help me =)

it uses Safedisc 2 ! Best is u use daemon-tools.

yes, yes, yes, use "fastdump" feature with cdrwin, and you can't lose.

i will be renting the game in a few days and will let you know how easy it is to copy safedisc 2, version 2.....:)

Yes. Max Payne finally released.
The copy protection is safediscV2.30.33. It's the same what OFP is using so you need a crack or good cr-r drive (philips based.. ACER)..

Excellent, I have been using Samsung 8x4x32x drive and i think it does not work at all wiht those copyprotected games. Hmm..I'm going to try copy whole game to harddrive and burn it from there. Let's see what happens...shit or a miracle =)

Jiihaa...I have just burned a working duplicate from original CD...it was not so hard at all.

Here is some intructions if someone needs them :
1. Copy the whole original CD to hard drive
2. Download NOCD crack from CGW
3. ####t a burning software ( I used WinOnCD 3.8 )
4. Name the CD like the original ( Max Payne )
5. Dont forget to put NOCD crack to CD
6. Burn contents of temp dir ( and crack ) to CD
7. Install game ( Full installation )
8. Use crack to remove cd-#####
9. Play & enjoy

remember people, with daemon tools, fastdump, you don't need to patch any files, use any cdcracks, etc.

you just have to have daemon running, and all safedisc 2 versions work perfect.

this is confirmed on empire, anacronox, and a few others.

these are the us releases.

don't mess with any cracked exe's unless you have to.

But remember that u need a "fastdumped" image to get Safedisc 2 working !

So it´s easier to use Deamon than nocd...well personally I don´t think so.

I tried to copy game with HP9110i but didn´t managed to create fully working 1:1 copy.
With nocd crack it works just fine.
Setting were:
subdata data
subdata (audio) [yep, I know there´s no audio tracks :) I tried also without those sub marks]
fast error skip (tried software AND hardware)
and
close last session
write subdata...

burned with newest CloneCD and speed was 2x

This was second game for me wich didn´t work without any cracks or programs, first was F1RC.

BTW, if someone don´t know yet PATCH 1.01 IS OUT!!!

That don´t remove CD ##### as F1RC AI patch did ;)


If someone know medicin how to make fully working 1:1 copy with Clone or with other software there would many glad guys out there! PLZ

anyone have a no-cd patch for ver 1.01? I'm having LOTS OF TROUBLE with making my CDR backup the disc, and then if that works i can't get it to work with the 1.01 update?

if there's a no-cd patch for 1.01 please let me know!
