Have Successfully copied Red Alert 2 & Tiberian Sun

But only once!!! I can't do it again. I used CloneCD the first time (1 to 1) and now it won't work to copy these again. I've verified the copies, they really work, but according to the posts I've read, they shouldn't have!! Now I can't copy them (originals) and I don't know why!! I don't remember which CloneCD version I used (system nuked since then and I have newest version now). I have an HP writer. Other programs back up fine so it is not a hardware or software problem. I guess the big question is how I got them to copy in the first place!! Any ideas???

i copied red alert 2 with almost no problems... just do what the instructions for cd copy tell you to do... and burn it on 1x speed to avoid errors and such.... and i used easy cd creator 3 with hp 9100 cdrw... the only down side is that it took me over 2 hours to complete the disk to make it error free, but it still works

The best way to copy Red Alert 2 is to:

Copy the whole CD to a temp directory;

Use UnSafedisk to crack BOTH the main executable AND the Setup file (hidden away in the Setup folder)

(By the way, you might need to install the game first to get ALL the DLL's required to crack the main executable, cos there are usually some extra in the directory hte game was installed)

Once the TWO files have been unwrapped, burn the contents of the temp directory to a CD (probably have to tick Ignore Read Errors to get past the deliberate read errors that were put on the disk by Westwood)

Have fun.

install the game first to get the dll? thats BS... just use the crack from gcw and follow the instructions and install it from windows explorer...

why go through all that mess just to make a backup???
