Patch for Desperados (ll32ica)?
 

Hi,

when I burn only the valid files (without Laserlok dir) to a CD the installer stops with "error 2", so I
tried to find a patch.
Because my CD-Writer doesn't support DAO RAW,
I'm not able to get a 1:1 copy of Desperados, so I'll
tried the generic Laserlock Patch ll32ica.

What the hell does this program do? I copied all the files from CD to a temp dir, except the Laserlok dir. When I start ll32ica, it tells me to give the name of the .exe file. The only .exe file is desperados.exe, so I chose it. But then the installer starts just if I started desperados.exe itself. I thought ll32ica applies a patch to the .exe-file. I'm confused...

The LaserLock-protected exe is the "game.exe" in you Desperados-Data-Folder (only visible after install). So try the generic-patch on it!

but Desperados doesn't even install from my
copy of the CD (valid files only).
