SimsHp no-CD=no sound
 

While the crack makes it possible to play without the CD on both my machines. The game has no sound. Downloaded and installed it twice. Have Sims, Livin(Europian version), and HP. ne1 else have this problem with their Win ME system? Thanks

I think the sound files are on the cd, that why you can't here any music when you use the no cd exe. There must be something in the instructions that tell you how to make the music work.

dudes!!! copy the audio portion of the cd onto yer HD in the sims/audio folder ...that makes it a full instaall............also...try reading previous posts....

Thanks people. Copying the Music folder from the CD to the Sims folder did the trick. And no, unlike D2 or others there is nothing in the Sims HP instructions about copying the music files over. It would be a good idea to put it in there. Also are you saying every time it says full install you copy all sound files over? Even if you don't have to like with say GP3? Why? Because people don't always put it in the instructions when you need to? Or was there a previous post I missed that said you gotta do it with Sims HP? Or any time there is no sound?Although I gotta admit I do feel foolish for not figuring this out myself. Thanks again.

Not all games, when doing a full install, will install ALL needed files when you wish to play 'No-CD'
Sometimes people might need to strain their brain cells first before calling out for help.
