Has anybody here had the same problem with the latest patch 1.09
it still asks for the cd as you are ready to start a race...
Is there a fully working patch ?
if so where?

can someone who has the game use UNsecurom to make the exe. It will make a no cd exe, i used to have the game installed but i don't have it insatalled anymore because i formated my hard drive ,i not bothered to reinstall it to make the no cd exe but i sure someone must have it all you need is the orignal cd or a perfect copy.

Maybe blaster would like to try your suggestion, after all he must have the original of the game.

I have the original game!!!
but I move my computer 2/3 times a week to various Mates houses + 1 Club
and prefer to have my game installed (petty I Know) but hate carrying all the cd too and frow especially when I have had a few of my originals nicked at the club, so I prefer to patch with a no-cd for this reason and to get it to load quicker etc.....

Tregs.....Is the version you've got the same as mine from
either robosoft or High society as these I can't get to work...

I don't want the no-cd patch from the cd version... as the games got more bugs in it than than the film Bugs Life.....
I want the no-cd patch from the 1.09 version, (which is still buggy)
or can you use unsecurerom on an official patch????

tried unsecurerom and I get the same insert cd message just as you are about to race...as on the gamecopy site...
the original asks for it before anything is executed......help me....

Excuse me for being a bit dumb...
as this is the first forum that I have been to that actually has the goods sorted out for you ...I didnt notice the Icons at the side for responsive 1-1 replies......
I noticed them whilst thinking what else to write...

I just tried to make one but it didn't work. I made the exe, and it booted into the game but then it ask for the cd when you you you have got to the screen with the map and weather conditions and all that other stuff.

Of course, UnSecuROM just kills the SecuROM ##### - the "normal" CD ##### remains alive.

At least you can use a backup CD now.

GermanFlag i know the cd ##### is still there but with the 1.05 patch i used unsecurom and it made a no cd exe so they have just added this for the 1.09 patch.

so it looks like a double cd ##### then ????
anybody got any ideas?
