New to all of this, please forgive me!!
While I am not new to computers I am generally "Green" when it comes to the aspects of building, and using the gamecopyworld scene of computers. I see that some things aren't allowed in this type of board (Crackz, etc.) But what I want to know is exactly what are the different things? Like what is a crackz?? From what I can gather it is the code needed to burn a copy of a game, is that right?? And I take it they are on gamecopyworld. What are the other things mentioned? What are appz, warez, serial keys, ISP's, and everything else? I just want physical definitions and their uses. I tried a search to no avail, and please excuse the lameness of this question but we all have to start somewhere. Thank you for your time, all replies are appreciated.

Well, little bit hard to understand, what you exactly want to know.
Appz: short for Application Warez: all kind of (illegal) stuff Crackz: Cracks are modified original exe-files or progs that do so (=Patches) Ripz: Extracted stuff from a CD, e.g. a whole game but without movie, sound, etc. files, which would be too big to be downloaded via the Internet. In most cases illegal! What else did you want to know. The stuff mentioned above is only a short summary of the words' meaning. CU, MONTY |
Well those are good starts. Thank you for those definitions. I guess what all I am asking for is like examples of the things, like what are do warez include?? Aren't they like full versions of downloadable programs that are illegially put on the net to be downloaded for free?? I've came across a couple of sites and that's the impression I got. If someone could point me in the right direction to learn more about them and anything else you deem good knowledge to know go ahead and post the addy or e-mail me them because i am in the stage right now where I just want to learn as much as I can about everything I can. Like if you can please give me examples of apps, ISO's, etc. Okay, like at Gamecopyworld what are the "No CD Patch keys" and stuff like that?? What are they used for?? Any and all replies are thanked. Have a good day!!

I wanted to go to bed, but I have just crossed your post. Some time ago, I used to have the same questions and so I will go to bed a little bit later, no prolem.
You are right: warez are always illegal stuff, normally full versions of any app/game. Just download and install, if you want to be a pirate !! Then there is software you can download as shareware-version. Now you can use a KEYGEN (=key generator) if it asks for a registration/serial number. The KEYGEN will create it for you, so you can enter the YOUR name and the calculated number. Another possibility are cracks to manipulate the code of the prog (changing jmp-codes mostly), so the prog jumps 'over' the registration screen and therefore 'thinks' it is registered. Another topic: Patches for Games. As games are copy-protected nowadays and most writers can't cope with this, the solution to this problem is cracks. It has nothing to do with illegal stuff (at least it should not have). From my point of view: If you bought a game, you should be able to make a backup, just in case, your original CDs could be damaged. There are No-CD cracks or cracks which allow you to use backup-CDs to run the game. NO-CD Cracks are telling the exe that everything works fine (i.e. the CD is in the CD-reader), allthough the CD isn't present. Other cracks tell the exe that the original CD is there, allthough it is only a backup. (This is also realized by modifying jmp-procedures). Isos are whole images of the contents of a CD, which means, they represent the whole structure of a CD. They are offered on some boards on the Internet, but considering the time you have to spend downloading the stuff, it is useless. (Unless you have a VERY fast access). But why should you anyway ?? You own the original CDs. don't you ?? Okay maybe your original CD got damaged, but ==> that is why you should be able to backup any CD you like. Could write for hours, but now I am really tired and I have to get up early. Maybe this is not what you wanted to read, then I am sorry for all the rubbish. If I could help, okay. I will ##### your opinion. CU, MONTY |
Thanks!!
Thanks Monty. Now that's the exact reply I was looking for. It's guys like that who help out the newbies that make people like me want to learn as much as possible now b/c of the kindness of others. I want to thank you again b/c I have tried at other boards, and only got flames and retarded replies. If I have any other questions I will be sure to bring them here so that I can get an educataed answer rather than rubish. Thank you once again.
