Need Help on making back-up

I am new at this and need help. I bought my boy a game, "EA Sports Championship Bass", and I need to make a copy of it before he destroys it. I tried to follow the directions on how to make a copy but it failed to work. I know it is something I did or did not understand, I copied the complete file to a new folder, downloaded the patch, removed the given file and installed the new file and burnt the cd. But when the game starts, a screen comes up saying "verifing cd", then asks to install the cd, even though the copied cd is in the player. The instructions says to name the cd but I dont understand this. I am not using any special program or anything, am I suppose to? I am using a HP 9110i. If anyone can help I thank you.

have you tried using cloneCd,with the top 2 ticked on read, and the top 1 ticked on write.
saying this,I`m not 100% sure your writer is capable of psx games.
but the clone settings are 100% m8.

I agree!! You have the same burner as I have and I can back-up ANY PC game that exists!! Just follow the settings given to you above and you will have NO problems. Make sure you use your burner for every step of the process, never use your regular cd player since most of them cannot read in RAW DAO mode. It really is a simple process and I will run it down for you quickly:
1. original in burner
2. launch clonecd and create image to a directory that you have created such as "copied"
3. place cd/r in burner and transfer the .ccd image to the cd/r
**The most important element is the settings!
Only use the following:
Read Subchannel....from data tracks
Read Subchannel....from audio tracks

Write
Do not repair Subchannel....

Providing you follow this info you will have no problems with that writer!! Now all you have to do is get CloneCD..the demo version is a free download www.elaborate-bytes.com the only difference is the speed and ability to save your settings.
