help an african with outcast
 

i live somewhere that games are not obtainable. so imagine my joy when i saw a copy of outcast being sold in a shop. bought it. tried installing. it installs, but nothing shows in the program files or startup. install over and over. no luck. so i downloaded the cracks. still no luck. it's uk vers 1. tried copying the entire disc one onto the hard drive and installing from there with the cracked loader file. still no luck. please help good people.

It WILL install on 98SE, it is DirectX 7.0a that causes the installer to error out and uninstalll before you see anything.
