i dont know much about backing up pc games but can i just copy the sims with cdrwin or does it have a copy protection?

Hannibal 06-03-2001 05:58

I copyd it but it wouldnt work, you must need a patch or something!

SIMMASTER 06-03-2001 06:22

Use CloneCD or BlindwriteSuite they can copy it

NO, the programs won't interfere with each other, you can have both onwith no problem.
The sims is really easy to copy with clone CD.

the sims has safedisc 1 protection woth cd-check!

Use clonecd

Whenreading just tick :

fast error skip

When writing just tick;

always close last session.

That should work, i used them settings

Will CloneCD also work with the Sims: Livin' Large? If so, how long will it take and what options should i check?

linkinpark 07-03-2001 19:55

i tried using clonecd to backup the sims. when reading the disc it will just sit at 0% and the log file says failed to read whatever sector and it keeps going on and on. i even tried reading the image through my writer but nothing seems to work. im assuming my writer or reader isnt compatible. is there any way i can backup this game with cdrwin? i read that rollercoaster tycoon had a safedisc protection but i successfully copyed that game with cdrwin so can i do the same with the sims?

Let it go on and on. It says its read errors but the cd will work anyway because Clonecd makes an exact copy.
It may take time to read the cd but don't give up.
