Pal PS2 about to be oraga chipped?
My Origa chips arrived this afternoon and I'm just about to chip my pal PS2...
I've got a very old PS2... how do I know what version it is? (im sure everyone asks this!) Cheers in advance for all your useful comments. Any tips would be apprieciated. Steve |
By the way, I'm removing my original 8 wire from modchip...
is it me or are many of the wires the same? Cheers |
Is it obviouse what the version is by looking at the pics.. ie do some of them not look right in th einstallation diagram.
I think mines a version 4. |
You need to match the board to the diagrams. We don't know what version your PS2 is.
Only 1 wire of the 8 wire mod is likely to be common so don't get too excited there!. because you need to solder onto the main CPU chip, remember you need a .1 or .12mm tip on a 15w iron with 33 or 35 swg wire (enamelled copper is easiest to work with). And a pair of razor blades to isolate each CPU leg as you work. |
