ST-Armada Backup Copy
 

Okay. You really want to know how to make a perfect backup copy of the original Armada CD? I tried it and found this out on my own. It has worked twice since I have deleted it and reinstalled it. Here goes.
I have a Creative CDRW 8432 drive. I used Nero Burning Rom® v5.0.2.0 and the original ST-Armada v1.1 CD. I used a Delta Brand CD-R Silver/Silver.

Using Nero, I went to CD-Recorder>*>*Save Track and saved the audio track as Track02.wav. I opened up a new session and used the Mixed-Mode CD option. I inputted in the volume descriptor as ARAMADA and in the application field EASY_CD_CREATOR_PRO_40. I went to the dates field and changed the Volume Creation Date to 05/16/2000 and the time to 03*21PM. I also changed the Volume Modification Date to the same as above. I hit burn CD and copied the files from the CD-ROM to the CD-R to burn file. I then found the Track02.wav file and put it in the audio field. I then burnt the CD-R. I installed the game one and tried it. Guess what!!! Worked just like the original CD!! I uninstalled it and deleted the remaining files and tried it again. It worked fine the second time as well!!

I don't know if this will work for the v1.2 patch, but it does work for the v.1.1 file. No No-CD patches or fixed .exe files were used, just the original CD which I own. You can now make your own personal backup copy of your CD!!
