American McGee's Alice takes 30 years to read
 

first off, i realize that this has been posted about a million times, but i just cant get it. i've tried clone cd and blind read, and both take FOREVER to read the cd. Blindread has been running for about 40 minutes now and it's 3% through the CD. i let clone cd run for about the same amount of time and it got 5% through it. so i'm wondering, what's the deal here? is there anyway to do it so that it wont take 100 years to copy the game? this is the 2nd cd btw, i haven't done the first one yet. i dont know why i didnt go in order. heheh. anyway, will blind read speed up after a while, or is it actually going to take like 20 hours to do it? this is the english version btw. north american, if that makes any difference. thx in advance.

o, and my reader is a 48x cd-rom made by I/O magic(cheap) and my writer is an HP 8290 4x4x24 cd-rw.

alright, blindread spead up after it past those bad sectors. so i waited a total of 3 1/2 hours for it to read these 2 cds. then i burnt the isos with cdrwin. and it seems ok, but the game hangs while it's launching. it just sits there at the "Alice" splash screen before it launches the game. which it never does. :( r these isos no good or what? thx.

I had the same problem you need a crack for it to work.
