Sierra Games - wot are they up to?
 

Hey all...

Erm, Pharaoh copied/backed-up fine - np'..

Then I tried Zeus - Master of Olympus, and today I've just tried Cleopatra - Queen of the Nile...both of these copy ok, install fine, but then dont detect the CD once its launched??

I have CD Detecter and it doesnt tell ya what the protection is, just that its unknown..

I've tried the patch available here for Zeus, but it didnt actually work, and there doesnt appear to be a patch here yet for Cleopatra, anyone have any clues...

For info, I was using CloneCD to back them up, as I said, the original Pharaoh worked a charm :)

I think you may be another kid to be stung by the safeDisc 2 demon.
Im not sure though as i dont own these games but by the sound of the problem thats it.
games will usually copy but the copy protection sector of the copyd CD will be 'scrambled' and unreadable to the program.
Its BLOODY clever!

To Duckers no one of this Games is protected with Safedisk2.....
