ive put a help message on the board now twice and nobody has bothered to answer it . any time i have seen a problem that i know anything about i have had the patience to reply but i have put several posts up and had only one or two replies . i thought this was the place to help each other out, maybe not hey.

We only help others if we are familiar with the problem eg. we had the same one and we solved it or heard of it .Most people are helpful.maybe you're problem was dealt with awhile ago,and the poster does not want to go through the process (explaining it)again.Look through the older posts maybe that will help,or try to post again.

Post it again, here, in this thread, I'll read it, and reply with any help I may have...if I dont know, I'll tell you, I *will* reply...

(knowing how frustrating it can be when you need an answer quick...)

Ive looked at a lot of posts about the patching of this game,im trying to patch the allied cd and i have done all what the instructions said and read the posts about "the please insert cd " message but ijust cant get round it.Ive tried to change the exe file to archive but i get amessage saying that it wont let me.But when i apply the patch on the hardrive the attributes are normal and its archive ,but when ive burn't it and go to install it it wont let me change it to archive.It seems to patch ok cause i get the message to now burn to a cd when i patch.I use wincommander to copy to my HD and ive tried cdrwin & easy cd creator to burn , i ve not done much patching so if anybody can help i would appreciate it , usually i just clone everything so this is driving me nuts!!!!!!.

Im not entirley suer, but it seems that you need a fixed no-cd .exe file...
if you browse game copy world you may find the patch you are looking for.. it will look just like the normal .exe file but will be slightly larger in terms of KB... you then need to download the no-cd.exefile, and copy and paste it into the file on your hardrive where the game is stored... you overwright the origional file, and hey presto... it should work...

Thanks for the help jag but i cant even install the game it says please insert cd before i can install it . any other ideas this is really getting to me.

It is maybe a stupid question, but is the name of the cd the same as the name of the original ??? If not the game won't install, because it doesn't recognize the cd as RD2. But maybe I din't get it, what you done. So please explain your problem again.

So your telling me that the disk when its inserted after burning has to be the same name in explorer to make the game work HUH. Well that makes me the twat dont it.
