Project IGI and CloneCD = Problems

Hi,

I have some problems during my attempt to build an image / burn project IGI.
I hope you will help me with this.

I’m using CloneCD, Nero, CDRWIN and Easy CD Creator.

When I trying to make an image using CloneCD (read at 1 speed) I receive some errors, my cd reader cant read “sub channel data from data and audio tracks”.

Are there any other ways to create a back up for my game?

I have noticed that there are some dummies files (size) so I can not make an ordinary copy by coping to my hard drive and then burn from there.

Hope for answers

Just clear something up for you

I have a cd reader "SONY CD ROM CDU 4011"

and

cd recorder "PHILIPS CDD 3610"

The settings im using in CloneCD is:

read subchannel data from data tracks
read subchannel data from audio tracks

fast error skip
read retrives = 0

Error correction = software

Do you have the UK or US version. The UK one is easy with Clone CD. The US version is protected Safedisk 2 which is almost impossible to copy.

Your CD Reader is fully supported with Clone CD and it says it does support sub channel audio and data reading, it also says it is very fast. You shouldn't get any errors. I have the UK version and I have copied it without any read errors. You should only get errors if the cd is scracthed badly or if it has safedisk. But that is a bit weird because mine doesn't have safedisk so yours shouldn't either. Try reading with you cd recorder. Don't tick fast error skip it shouldn't have any errors. If you still get errors burn it anyway it might work. I did it with a Sony 140E and wrote at 1 speed without anything checked. Also make sure youhave the lastest version of Clone CD.
