Trying to Back Up Alice. "Read CD" always hangs, then fails. Help?
 

I am using Nero. When I put CD1 into my PCDVD-Rom and a blank CD-r into my Creative Blaster 8432 drive, and I use the "Copy CD" function, no matter what settings I change, the Read just hangs and eventually fails at 0% or 1% read. I am not using "on the fly" either.

I´ve done my copy with NERO (5.0.3.5), too ...
Simply let the CD recorder read the image and write than the image to the new disc ..
I´ve no problem with that and the game runs perfectly (with the nocd crack) ...
I´m using the German version and the english nocd crack ...
Another way is that one : Read the original discs with Blindread 3.x and write the image to the Cue/Bin Format ..
After that burn the Image with CDRWIN 3.x or another program which can read the Cue / Bin Format ...
It should work :-)

Alice uses Safedisc v.2 Protection. Use CloneCD with "Fast Error Skip" selected in the read options. Then you'll burn a perfect backup (if your burner supports it)
