Anyone know if U need GS 1.8 or 1.9?? for neo 2.5 chip.
 

I got US version 5 PS2 and i hear Neo 2.5 is good for playing DVD-R backups but one wesite it said you must have GS 1.9 and another said you must have GS 1.8
Does anyone currently have a us version 5 ps2 with a neo 2.5 chip and a working Gameshark?..if so what version is the GS...or does anyone else know

A v5 PS2 requires a gameshark2v 1.93 or better, it wont read a 1.8 or a 1.9. So far DVDr backups will boot with a 1.93 or a 2.01 only.
