HEEEELLLLPPP!!!!

I've just wasted 10 CD-R's from trying to make a backup of my NHL 2000....it's not that new, had it a while, and it shouldn't be too hard to make a copy!!!!! Every time i try to run the copy, it asks to insert the right disk on the drive....i'm about to give up!!!
