does anyone know of problems or fixes for backing up star trek elite force- i am using a hitachi dvd drive and a ricoh cd-w
i would appreciate any input

Go get CloneCD - it should work with your Ricoh writer in the SAO-RAW modi (enough for the SafeDisc protection!) or the most wanted DAO-RAW mode.
Check http://daemon-tools.de for the settings and have fun!
