how long should it take?

I tried to copy a psx game at 1x and it took about 3 hours. does anyone know if this normal?
This only happens when I check the read subchannel data boxes, but I have read this is the correct thing to do. Any information would be appriciated.

Like you i am new to this also, so i am not really qualified to speak on this, BUT!!! Following the advice of members on this board, i have done 3 back-up games, and using x1 they was all done in less than 1hr each. That was for reading to HD and then writing to disc. Hope i've done it correctly !!!!!!

its like you have Volvos for burners!!

try 4x or 8x, at this stage for you both it's going to be trial and error but you will soon get the hang of it, remember we were all new at one stage, and we are all still learning,
and YEAF try wipeing your disc's with an anti static cloth

where do i get an anti static cloth from?

I appreciate the advice everyone has given, but I have followed the instructions to the letter and its still takes forever. I have copied 2 games successfully each one took about 10 minutes to read and 20 minutes to write. Then this problem started. I know nothing about computers but is it possible clonecd has become corupted somehow? Thanks ausko.

Hey i do a burn from Rom to Writer as a direct CD Copy using Clonecd V3.3 at 1X and it only takes me about 8 Minutes per disk.... It all depends on the processor you've got, the drive and what you're doing in the background. Best disks i've found are Intenso..

Xetos 04-02-2002 21:14

You should be able to copy cd's in about 10 min at 8x. thats what I use usually..... if your comp is fast enough, the cd burning should be able to go at 8x no prob without failing.
I generally use Nero Burner at 8x or 12x and it copies the cd onto the HD and then burns it so It's safer.
I generally don't recomment burning cd to cd, since it tend to slow down the burning process and often ends up messing the cd up.

tezzi, just curious here. 8 minutes @ 1 x (150 kbps) is what, 72 odd megabytes? does that even get the audio?
