If you are using the demo version it'll burn at 1x and that operation can take about 45 minutes. First, I'd recommend you use CloneCD only for 1:1 copies. Next, if you've got settings like Fast Error Skip set, it can take ages. Next, you can happily burn at 4X or even 8X if the media is good. The correct CloneCD settings are:
Open CloneCD. Click the picture to copy the CD to Hard Disk Select your CD Reader. Select your read speed. I suggest you keep it to 8x or 4x Read SubChannel Data from Data Tracks: Checked Read SubChannel Data from Audio Tracks: Checked Abort on Read Error: Checked The other boxes can be left unchecked. Browse for the directory that you want the image file to be extracted to. Check the Delete After Successful Write box if you want. Select your CD Writer. Select your write speed. I strongly suggest you burn at a maximum of 4x or 8x. Write Mode: RAW DAO Don't Repair SubChannel Data: Checked Always close last session: Checked The other boxes can be left unchecked. |
It probably takes so long to read because the originals are in such bad shape that you are wasting your time.
