HOW 2 MAKE A WORKING BACK UP OF THE ITALIAN JOB
 

I read a previous post about someone having problems making a back up of this game.

i have clonecd 4.0a and a HP8000 series burner plus a copy of clony which you can get from GCW.

OK....these are the settings you need to read and write the game using clonecd :

READING.

TICK READ SUBCHANNEL AUDIO
TICK READ SUBCHANNEL DATA

leave the rest unticked and read at max 4 x speed.

WRITING.

TICK DONT REPAIR SUBCHANNEL DATA
TICK ALWAYS CLOSE LAST SESSION

BURN AWAY MY FRIENDS !

and VOILA you should now have a working back up.....worked for me guys.

I think it's just the DON'T REPAIR SUBCHANEL DATA is the main thing!

Where did you get Clone CD v 4.0a from, I have looked on the Elaborate bytes web site and they only have version 3.

I can't get the 'don't repair sub-channel data' option to work, it's greyed out. Any ideas anyone ?

CLONECD 2852 IS THE VERSION IM USING..I CONFUSED IT WITH CDRWIN !

If your writer is not fully compatible with clone then this option may be greyed out ,though u should still b able to copy most games ok.

don't know if your gonna get to read this wayne but thanx for the tip with clonecd i now have a working copy of the italian job

well it works i had to change my writer cause of sub chann data but sorted now

well i tried everything mentioned and still cant get it to work.
even tried the kal patch no joy
