cdrwin error...please help

I have been using cdrwin with no problems untill now. I tried backing up Army Men world war and whenI tried to burn the image I got this error: Error: "write" command failed...ilegal command request (04h, 00h, 02h, 26h) Can anyone explain what this error means? Thanx in advance.

if you are getting errors when reading psx games it means the cd is damage in some way

OK, thanx. Let me get this straight. A "read" error is from a bad original disk while you are creating the .bin image to your HD. Is a "write" error the same thing or do they occur when you are trying to burn the .bin image to a blank disk? The error I got happened after I successfully copied disk to hard drive and then tried to burn. Thanx for your help.

You can try anotner brand of CDR. I know a lot of people here like the TDK's etc., but when using the no name brands I find that they work fine, but sometimes a few of them will produce a write error. Note, this does not mean that it is now a coaster, but rather sometimes CDClone will write just fine on these rejects. 1) Try a different brand CDR, and/or 2)try using CDClone.
Also, start your computer fresh making sure all your available Ram is clear.

i have the same problem, the easy solution to my problem is the eject the cd-r and just put it back in. i dont know how but it works perfectly fine when copying.

I think these are the symptoms of CDR-WIN when it has run out of its trial period. Forgive me if I'm wrong (i.e. you are licensed or within the trial period), but the software should never refuse to burn a CD-R on a recognised device.

I believe the error is reporting problems with the audio information.

04h something to do with error recovery

00h has something to do with audio and start and end addresses of audio tracks etc

02h and 26h are vendor specific

Just a hunch but try creating a new image through your burner if you havnt already, reduce the read and write speeds.
