I'm sorry for posting a newbie question but I goto know. do patched psx games make them bootable?

if by bootable you mean work on a playstation without a mod chip the no. if you are taking about games with protection then yes. look at ####://63.217.26.28/psx/psx_patches.shtml
this will give you a good indication if the game requires an protection patch. patches that are pal/ntse arent normally protection fixes
