question about patches
 

If a game is copy protected how do you know which patch to use? I am new at this and I don't understand which patch I should use. For example I have an NTSC original of Driver 2, I'm trying to make myself a back-up copy. This site shows 3 patches... 1. PAL-2-NTSC Patch.... 2.PAL/NTSC Selector..... 3.[BETA] PAL-2-NTSC Patch.. Which one of these files should I use if any to make a back-up copy to play on my PS-one w/ MOD chip! I can play any original game on my system. I appreciate any help guys, sorry if this sounds stupid!
