PS2 gamepad and memory compatibility with PS1

Will the ps2 gamepad and ps2 memory card work if I used it on a ps1 console?

the ps2 gamepad is not use for the ps. since the ps2 pad is pressure senstive.

i have used a ps2 pad in an old grey playstation and it works
