Which One???
Hi,
ive spent the best part of a day going through the Forum on how to copy ps2 games, which i reckon ive got sorted, the only thing i need to work out now it what do i need to play them on the ps2. Can you play backups without a modchip?? ive seen the Usb radio that you can get and neo usb plug-in, which is just about to be released do you need a chip aswell?? Can you get them pre-chipped in the Uk??? What is the best solution, ive seen people saying about using the knife method and allsorts. I just what the most simple way without using my Mums Cutlery, thats gonna play all backups.... Cheers in Advance Dal |
I'm in no doubt that a Mod Chip is the best way to go. It opens all the doors, is well understood and well covered on this forum. Knife trick is at your peril.

Charlie,
Thanks for the Info, do you need a chip aswell as i AR2 Cart to play backups?? Dal |
YOU DONT NEED A MOD CHIP TO PLAY SOME GAMES.
I GOT AN AR 1.3 SAME AS A GAMESHARK BUT FOR MY UK PS2 I HAVE ABOUT 10 GAMES WORKING. I USE A PROGRAM CALLED S2P PATCHER IT PATCHES A PS2 GAME. WHEN YOU BOOT AN ACTION REPLAY IT HAS A FILE CALLED SYSTEM.CFN AND IT`S IN A PLACE ON THE CD WITH THE LBA OF 12231 YOUR PS2 GAMES NEED TO HAVE THAT FILE IN THE SAME PLACE IF YOU WANT IT TO BOOT. THATS WHY YOU PATCHE THEM IF YOU DON`T HAVE A MODCHIP. IF YOU WANT A GOOD MOD CHIP USE A NEO2 THEY RUN ALMOST ALL PS2 GAMES. |
