Bot-CK said in a post about a week ago saying Crash Bash PAL was not protected. It is protected in all countries unless U have the BETA version which is only available via ISO.

Spyro 3 is also protected in all countries.

I think BOT-CK deserved that!
Countless times I have seen him lock messages before answers were given, give totally useless info and Its really starting to piss me off! The person who said those games were protected was payed out by BOT-CK in the same message. In breif : PULL YOUR ACT TOGETHER BOT-CK

What I said was, and I quote -

This was in reply to another of your kind who stated -
"i have copied crash bash and spyro 3 using clone cd without using patches and both work fine"
The reason CloneCD can copy these is because the protection is not anti-moD chip!
If it were the copy would also detect that protection.
The protection on Crash Bash and Spyro 3 is NOT of the anti-mod chip kind.
BEFORE POSTING CRAP GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT!

evan_mit, in EVERY post I have replied to I have always stated that the ONLY way to copy Spyro 3 is with CloneCD, I have always stated that the Paradox patches do not work at all.
The patch for Crash Bash does work, but the protection on these 2 games can be overcome with CloneCD.
CloneCD CANNOT overcome anti-mod chip protection.
I am sorry to see that idiots of your calibre do not have enough working brain cells to be be able to understand very simple statements.

I have to tell you dude that BOT-CK is right!!
Different regions seem to get different copy protection types. I'm in the European PAL region and have never come across an anti-modchip protection. Apparently with this protection, even if you buy an original it will not work in a modded psx. Whereas the protection we have in our region, if you buy the original it will work fine on a modded psx, but if you copy a disk, the psx can somehow detect and then the game will crash. There is a very definite difference between the protections.

I'd like to ask you a question now. When you joined this forum one of the criteria was that you search a topic before you post a question about it. I'd like to ask you how many times have you used the search function? I don't need many fingers to count the answer do I!

BOT-CK is 100% correct in all the statments here, unlike many of the others.

Well they do say that a little knowledge is dangerous! i'm just glad that Evan-mit hasnt got "Nucleur Rocket Scientist" down as his occupation! DOH we'ed all be in big trouble.
